Principal Responsibilities:
- Serve and satisfy the Bank’s customers
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service
- Accept checks, currency, and coins for deposit
- Cash checks for depositors within predetermined authority
- Accept payments on holiday clubs, loans, mortgages, etc.
- Maintain authorized cash supply

Education:
High School graduate required, College a plus.

Experience:

Principle Responsibilities:
- Serve and satisfy the Bank's customers
- Provide direction, guidance, coaching, counseling to Branch Operations Manager(s)
- Ensure the quality of management of VIP/High Major/Major relationships by all branch staff
- Manage VIP/High Major/Major relationships through scheduling and executing calls, responding to referrals from VIP High Major and Majors, resolving issues, problems, concerns and other matters for them
- Work to expand the overall profitability of VIPs/High Major and Major Relationships through cross-selling, upgrading and other sales techniques
- Participate in joint calls with Segments for their customers and prospects including acquiring and preparing documentation, participating in external activities and other appropriate efforts
- Plan, conduct and follow up on prospect calls for potential new commercial banking customers. Follow up on leads from Business Development Board members, Directors, segments and others
- Work with small business loan group to prepare proposals for new and expanded credit relationships
- Effectively refer business opportunities to Segments, Trust Department and others as appropriate
- Prepare and submit timely accurate business development reports
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled planning and follow up meetings with branch management team and follow up on meetings with other Branch staff
- Plan, implement, monitor and evaluate employee development plans including scheduling and implementing individual and group skill development meetings
- Provide motivational and corrective feedback to staff as appropriate and in a manner which reinforces the Bank's values and sets the tone for ongoing interpersonal communication between staff
- Ensure the branch operates in a safe and secure manner monitoring all equipment, policies, procedures and activities including adherence to all appropriate regulatory requirements
- Review, process and, as appropriate, seek guidance on all branch ODs and provide guidance to branch staff on non-routine demand deposit activity
- Review on schedule and, as appropriate, unscheduled basis, all logs, proofs, and other internal documentation to ensure compliance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements
- Participate in external community-based organizations as appropriate including offering the Bank's facilities, expertise and other resources as appropriate
- Work with internal and external resources to ensure the Bank's security, data processing and other equipment are in proper working order, reporting problems and ensuring their resolution effectively and efficiently
- Attend and participate in meetings and on teams as required
- Participate in personal development activities, internally, and externally as appropriate


Experience:
Must have minimum of 5 years supervisory experience, 5 years of branch banking experience with increasing responsibility. Ability to source 5 new relationships annually

Required Experience:
• Five plus years of increasing responsibility in business development roles at a bank
• An in market banker with an established book of business and Centers Of Influence (COIs) in the following markets:
- Greenwich/Stamford
- Norwalk/Westport/Fairfield
- Bridgeport/Stratford/Milford

• Experienced commercial banker involved in the management and sales to small and mid-sized businesses, as well as not-for-profit organizations, professional practices including attorneys, accountants, physicians and commercial real estate services.

The three BDO positions will be located in the following offices:
• Stamford for the Greenwich/Stamford Markets
• Westport for the Norwalk/Westport/Fairfield Markets
• Milford for the Bridgeport/Stratford/Milford Markets

Purpose:
• Responsible for the development of new business within an assigned geographical market.
• Act as the Bank’s primary representative in the assigned market
• Leverage known contacts to market the Bank to obtain new business
• Accountable for the overall profitability and soundness of newly developed strategic client relationships

Key Result Areas:

• Develop new profitable business relationships within the assigned geographical market
• Enhance existing strategic relationships within the assigned geographical market
• Meet and exceed annual sales goals including deposit, loan, fees, calls etc. as defined

Principal Responsibilities
• Develop marketing and sales plan for assigned geographical market in conjunction with the segment leader to establish and manage long and short term business development and retention goals
• Manage activities in order to meet individual business development goals
• Develop and implement effective and efficient calling programs
• Understand and respond to evolving market conditions and customer/prospect requirements
• Maintain current and accurate knowledge of local and national market conditions
• Participate in local business and civic organizations: i.e., Chamber, Rotary, Kiwanis, etc. and community events and projects

General Skills and Abilities:
• Possess a working knowledge of commercial credit facilities in order to identify opportunities and make effective referrals to the Bank’s lending experts
• Ability to function effectively as part of a diverse team of Relationship Officers and staff to achieve segment and Bank business development goals
• Demonstrated consultative selling skills in a professional marketplace
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Well developed negotiation skills
• Self starter with a minimum amount of supervision
• Ability to use sound judgment in negotiations with customers, prospects and management
• Able to develop a business plan tailored to a specific market segment containing measurable benchmarks/goals and the discipline to execute the stated plan

KEY RESULT AREAS
- Plan, develop, test, and document computer programs and systems to meet business needs
- Analyze, review, and modify programs and systems to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements
- Create and produce management reports from various data repositories
- Ensure data accuracy across multiple systems

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve and satisfy the Bank’s customers
- Coordinate data collection and integrity review
- Develop data standards and related policies and procedures
- Recommend and implement improved data collection and reporting methods and systems
- Use Foxtrox automated data entry system to change D3000 data as required; maintain documentation of all changes
- Analyze end user data needs and develop user oriented solutions which interface with existing applications when possible
- Obtain management and end-user approval of all reports, systems and programs; obtain Compliance approval for any customer related activities
- Design systems, programs, and reports using available technologies as appropriate (e.g.AS400 Query, MS Access, MS Office)
- Document all systems, programs, and reports created
- Coordinate all aspects of implementation and training to support new programs/ systems/reports
- Recommend improved operational procedures to maximize systems efficiency
- Archive and manage data to allow for the most time efficient and accurate data processes
- Offer guidance on third party software purchases, concentrating on reporting, data collection, and data availability
- Proactively learn and utilize new technologies, concepts, and procedures and apply these as needed to solve business needs
- Provide technical support to other departments and Direct Access customers

Standard compliance knowledge for all employees and awareness that every report/system/application that affects customers must be approved by the Compliance Officer

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a degree in Business, with a heavy computer menu.

EXPERIENCE
Two to three years experience in programming, database management, report generation, and application development, or some comparable combination of education and experience. Three years of banking or finance experience is desirable.
